| Singapore, December 1, 2006, Intrinix and Cybersite announced the
availability of their latest business-to-business integration (B2Bi)
solution. Today large Multi-National Corporation (MNC) have
established their own supply chain network and adopted information
technology (IT) to enable collaboration with their key suppliers. In
this new networked supply chain, companies formed alliances to seize
opportunities in the dynamic business environment. Suppliers who are not
able to connect to this network will not be selected to participate in
the supply chain and loose business to their competitors.
Intrinix, Cybersite and SIMTech collaborated to develop a gateway
solution to connect disparate systems to each others using XML and Web
Services technologies. This gateway enables Small and Medium Enterprises
(SME) to connect to the supply chain quickly. This gateway eases
integration between buying organisations, usually MNCs, to their
suppliers despite having disparate systems.
Currently this gateway supports the Order Management (OM) and Vendor
Managed Inventory (VMI) processes. More processes will be added to the
system soon. These processes are implemented as templates and new
processes can be easily added without the need to change the system
configuration and additional infrastructural investment.
The gateway software is hosted on a server connected to the Internet
and SMEs do not need to invest in hardware but pay a one-time
non-recurring charge and a monthly subscription charges to use the
system. This scheme offers SMEs lower entry and cost of ownership is
low.
